Sweet pepper, tomatillos (22%), onions, habanero chilis (20%), white wine vinegar, apples, limes, garlic, olive oil, sea salt.
The Habanero pepper is one of the tastiest hot peppers there are. It's also one of the hottest (It used to be the hottest before things like the Bhut Jolokia and Trinidad Scorpion came along. Not to mention the Carolina Reaper). It's fruity and bright in flavour and hot as a bastard.
The apple brings a subtle layer of complexity to the sauce, helping the flavour remain fresh and fruity.
It has been measured at about 10,000 scoville. The heat comes on quit fast and stays for about 2-3 minutes. This one is designed to have a good heat that is just right for anyone who likes is used to eating spicy foo, without going over the top.
This sauce is a great all rounder that everybody seems to enjoy. That's why it seems to do well in jury based awards. It won a Hot Pepper Award in 2014, as well as first place in the medium heat category of the World Hot Sauce Awards in 2015 and 2016.
